Dutch based electronics conglomerate operates in almost all sectors of the CE business but is also large in the professional side of the sector and has factories and R&D facilities all over the world. Full name is actually Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V. and they are perhaps as famous for inventing the CD, the Compact Cassette and a whole lot of other devices that you will find in every home. Also owns a host of other brands such as Norelco, Magnavox, Philco, Signetics and Pye, and has in the past had interests in Grundig, Marantz and others.
