47 Laboratory
Japanese full-line producer of high end audio products known in Japan as AudioLabo 47, run by industrial designer Junji Kimura an (ex-Kyocera, Luxman, Trio and Pioneer). 47 Labs are known for their unusually minimalistic hi-fi gear that features some very unorthodox designs externally, mechanically and electronically. The name of the company comes from the colour coding of resistors, 4 and 7 are yellow and green, ki and mura-saki in Japanese, eg they spell out the name of the designer, Ki-mura.
