The distributor and the wholesaler is an almost dead pheonemon in Iceland, both due to peculiar business enviroment there that followed the admission of the country into EFTA and to the simple fact that almost 2/3 of the population now lives in a tiny corner of the southwest side of the country in and around the capital city of Reykjavík. Instead most importers now directly sell their wares in their own shops and do some minor distribution to other retailers (but most do none).
