Japan Victor Company (JVC)
Big Japanese manufacturer of consumer and professional audiovisual products. JVC is amongst other things the inventor of the VHS video format and it's derivatives, the products of the company are branded Victor in Asia but the JVC moniker is used in the rest of the world since the company only had the rights to that name locally, when products from the company started arriving on the western market the company traded as NIVICO which is sort for Nippon Victor Co.
