German manufacturer with production facilities in China and back office operations in the Philippines. Makes semi-pro & professional recording and sound reinforcement equipment in addition to musical instruments and more recently has even gone into the market for consumer electronics. Primarily manufactures high value equipment but also has a few more esoteric PA related products, but in addition to selling under its own name they make valve guitar and bass amplifiers under the Bugera brand. Company originally founded in 1989 as a manufacturer of budget signal processors but went upmarket in the mid 90’s with some innovative products for the studio and broadcasting markets, however the collapse of the recording studio sector in the latter half of the decade sent the company back to the semi-pro market.
