Danish company that manufactures mid and high-end loudspeaker drivers and assembles loudspeakers as an OEM and ODM partner, their products are primarily intended for the hi-fi and AV home markets but they do have some models available suitable for car audio use and for smaller pro-audio applications. Svetlana JSC.
A diversified Russian company that manufactures all kinds of electric and electronic products including semiconductors but is best known for their valve (tube, lamp etc.) manufacturing division ZAO SED SPb., their valves are some of the better ones on the market and they are one of the few companies actively designing new valves as opposed to concentrating on remaking classics from the 20th century. The Company traces it's roots to 1889 and produced it's first valve in 1914 but a new factory that was opened in Petrograd (Leningrad) in 1933 was named "Sectoral Vacuum Laboratory" but locals usually shortened that name to the more affectionate Svetlana, but that is a common female Slavic name. An ill considered distribution agreement with an American company resulted in that company gaining the rights to the Svetlana name and logo in parts of the world, in effect forcing the original company to change in those parts to SED and the logo to a winged C but that is the Cyrillic equiv. to roman S, their former distributor is in turn selling valves under the Svetlana name in the USA and Canada that have no connection to the original company and considered inferior.

USA based company with production facilities in the USA and South Korea, Switchcraft manufactures all kinds of connectors including specialised audio and video connectors, cable assembly's, switches, jackfields and cable assemblies including products specially manufactured for guitar usage, plugs and patchbays for audio, video and data usage. Also sells ruggedized versions of their connectors, switching and cable products under the Conxall brand.
Company was originally founded in 1946 to manufacture switches and plugs for the telephone industry but re-targeted towards the audio and video markets as telephone exchanges increasingly went automatic and later digital.
