Linn Records Small label based in Scotland, a division of Linn and usually has releases with very high sound quality. Naxos This label is based in Hong Kong and was founded by German expat. Klaus Heymann in the late 70's, initially releasing local artists but had the foresight to start publishing classical CD's at mid/budget price fairly early on and along with a sound release strategy it has managed to become the biggest and best known classical label this side of Deutsche Grammophon. Although the company's output is mainly classical there is also a variety of historical records, jazz and spoken word released by Naxos each year and noticeably the spoken word catalogue is usually available in both German and English, sublabels include Marco Polo that publishes little known works or works by little known composers, the Jazz Legends and Nostaglia labels publish out of copyright works in the jazz and classical fields respectively, Amadis is a super budget imprint while White Cloud is a more adventurous part that focuses on modern jazz and contemporary classical music. Neuronium Records While ostensibly an outlet for the output of the band Neuronium, this label also puts out "space music" and other instrumental music by other artists, for those of you not in the know space music is the Latin European term for the (mostly) instrumental electronic music that came out of Europe in the latter half of the 70's/early 80's, there are some excellent music put out by this label, but they definitely need to work on their covers. -- Official homepage Formats supported : CD.
